Cosmetic (or aesthetic) dentistry aims to improve the appearance of your teeth, while not necessarily improving their function. However, at Laurel Dental practice we aim for all our treatments to result in beautiful teeth, whether cosmetic or functional.
We understand the confidence boost a picture-perfect smile can have on your life and so we offer a full smile redesign service to correct both the position and shade of your teeth to your specification. Please get in touch to arrange your consultation and see what we can do for you!
After an initial consultation to check your oral health, we offer two whitening services:
Invisalign uses a system of nearly invisible, comfortable and removable aligners to move your teeth to create your desired smile.
At Laurel Dental Practice we ask you to come in for an initial consultation where we check your oral health to assess your suitability for treatment. Once confirmed we take photos, x-rays and impressions of your teeth to create your individual treatment plan.
You will receive a series of custom-made aligners to wear every day and change at home – on average every 2 weeks. You will meet with your dentist every 6-8 weeks to monitor your progress.
Invisalign™ WebsiteSmileFast is a bespoke veneer smile makeover service that preserves your original teeth, and is quicker and more affordable than traditional veneers. Treatment takes place over three stages – smile design, refine and final fit.
After confirming that you are dentally fit, and therefore suitable for treatment, the dentist will take a number of photos and a digital scan of your existing teeth. You will have the opportunity to discuss your dream smile and how SmileFast can help you to achieve this. After this appointment you will be sent a digital image of your new smile.
Once you have agreed on how your new smile will look you will move onto the refine stage. At this appointment, the dentist will use temporary materials to fit your trial smile and give you another opportunity to discuss refinements to your new smile. You will be able to both see and feel your new smile in your mouth.
At the final fit stage, the dentist will use minimally invasive and pain-free techniques to fit your new smile. This final stage can be completed in as little as one hour.

Conventional orthodontics involves the use of braces to improve the appearance and position of crooked, protruding and overcrowded teeth. While the cosmetic results of orthodontics are highly desirable, these procedures can also improve the biting functionality of the teeth and improve your oral hygiene by making cleaning easier.
At Laurel Dental Practice we offer both orthopaedic and orthodontic procedures. Orthopaedic procedures involve correcting the upper and lower teeth to the correct size and shape in relation to your jaw and head. Orthodontic procedures involve correcting the position of your teeth using bracket and wire braces. We offer orthodontics in children from about 12 years old with good oral hygiene. Treatment takes about 18-24 months and you will be required to wear a retainer for several years afterwards to keep your teeth fixed in their new position.
Orthodontics are a highly personalised treatment option and if you are interested, we suggest you come in and see us for an initial consultation where we would be delighted to run through your options. Unlike the NHS we have no long waiting lists and cater for individuals over 18 years old. We also welcome individuals who are not accepted for NHS treatment due to a lower grade treatment need.
We accept payment by cash, card, cheque and mobile payment.
We also offer 0% APR interest free finance options for treatment plans over £1000. Our finance plans make treatment instantly more affordable, giving you access to a greater choice of treatment options immediately.
Applications are made online either at the surgery or in the comfort of your own home. Payments are made by monthly direct debit, over a time period to suit you.
